A father arrested for repeatedly raping his
teenage daughter


Accra – Ghana Police Service (GPS) has
apprehended a arrested a 38-year old man
after his 15 year old daughter reported him at
the Eastern Regional branch of the Domestic
Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU).
According to a VibeGhana report, The
accused, Prosper Gli is from Asokore-Zongo,
a suburb of Koforidua. The man allegedly
raped his 15 year old daughter who goes to
Junior High School, the girl later reported the
matter to her teachers. Confirming the story
to VibeGhana, Superintendent Eunice Annor,
officer-in-charge of Eastern Regional DOVVSU
said Prosper Gli has been having sexual
bouts with his daughter since August 2014.

The victim, according to the police boss, was
staying with the biological mother in Accra
but decided to come to stay with the father
and step-mother in Asokore-Zongo,
Koforidua, only to be subjected to sexual
abuse by the father. She further stated that
the victim has sexually suffered in the hands
of the father until February 4.
