9 MOGPA members killed in car accident



Accra - Nine members of the Moment of
Glorious Prayer Army (MOGPA) have been
killed instantly at Abrankese near Kuntanase
in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti
Region after a bus that they were on ran into
another and killing them on the spot at
Adansi –Kusa near Fomena.
According to a report by Ghanaweb, The dead
included a girl and the driver of a
Hyundai mini bus with registration number GS
483-14 which was involved in the
ghastly accident on Saturday morning. In a
statement issued by the authorities,
several others sustained life
threatening injuries in the accident that
occurred around 6am, and they were taken to
the Bekwai Government Hospital and
the Fomena Health Centre which referred
them to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital
in Kumasi for further treatment. The prayer
army was struck by the tragedy after a watch
night service at the Abrankese stadium on
Friday, while its members were travelling
back to their various destinations, the
police commander added.
