Ex soldier murders his wife


Accra – An ex soldier from the Benue
Nkwanta in the Sunyani Municipality of the
Brong Ahafo region has killed his wife and
shot himself in the process on Monday.
According to DailyGuideGhana , the 70 year
old soldier, whose name is Joseph Yaw
Owusu, killed his wife in the early hours of
Monday morning.
Witnesses close to the scene have revealed
that the veteran soldier shot his wife, Rejoyce
Nuvor aka Mama, 27, at close range with his
single barrel gun, and afterwards used the
butt of the gun to hit the head of his 9-year-
old son, Kofi Oti and later killed himself.

The injured boy, who was bleeding profusely,
was said to have run to a police barrier at
Benue Nkwanta - about 1 kilometer away –
and informed them about the incident. The
Deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Police
Commander, ACP Patrick Adusei Sarpong,
confirmed the incident to the media.
